Bring Supply Wisdom into the AI Assistant Your Team Already Uses
Most risk teams we talk to already use AI assistants to summarize contracts, draft committee updates, or make sense of a dense regulatory notice. What they usually can't do is ask that assistant about their own vendors, because their risk intelligence lives in a separate platform.
Our new MCP Server brings Supply Wisdom intelligence into the AI assistants teams already use.
What the MCP Server does
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to outside data sources. Our MCP Server uses it to connect compatible assistants, including Claude and ChatGPT, to your Supply Wisdom account.
Customers can connect using their Supply Wisdom API key. From there, you can ask questions about the vendors and locations you monitor in plain language. The MCP Server filters by your targets, labels, and time period, and brings the answer back into your chat window. Until now, getting that data outside the platform meant working with our API directly, which often required a developer.
Why the source of the answer matters
When you ask an AI assistant about a third party on its own, it answers from what it learned in training and whatever it can find on the internet. That information may be out of date or unverified, and you usually can’t tell which.
Once it’s connected to Supply Wisdom, your assistant works from your own Supply Wisdom intelligence instead. Every alert has been confirmed by two credible, independent sources and reviewed by an analyst, and it’s already tuned to the vendors, locations, and risk tolerance you’ve set. What comes back is both trustworthy and relevant to your organization.

Example questions to ask your AI assistant about vendor risk
To get started, you could ask:
Which of our critical vendors have new high-severity alerts this week?
What alerts were raised for [vendor] in the past 30 days?
What's happening in the cities or countries where our key vendors operate?
From there, you can use your assistant's other connected tools to turn what it finds into a briefing for your CISO, a note to procurement before a contract renewal, or talking points for your next risk committee meeting.
So instead of Supply Wisdom intelligence staying with the risk team, you can turn it into something other team members can consider and act on, because risk doesn't stay siloed. A vendor under financial strain may delay security investments, lose staff, or miss a compliance deadline, and each of those can impact a different department. When those teams get the intelligence that affects them, more of your organization works from the same picture and can respond sooner.
Read-only by design
We know security and IT teams will want to understand exactly what an AI assistant can do with this connection. Through the MCP Server, an assistant can only retrieve and analyze the Supply Wisdom information your organization is authorized to see. It can't create, edit, or delete any records, regardless of what the assistant itself is capable of. Your organization also stays in control of which AI assistants your teams are allowed to use.
Availability
The MCP Server is included for all paid Supply Wisdom customers. Customers connect using their existing Supply Wisdom API key, and their customer success manager can help with setup.
If you're not using Supply Wisdom yet, we'd love to show you how it works.
